Naming note. A hybrid of Philodendron pedatum and Philodendron squamiferum, originally cultivated in Florida. The all-green counterpart to Philodendron 'Florida Ghost.' Same parentage, very different foliage story.
A cultivated hybrid, not a wild species. Developed in Florida in the mid-20th century by crossing two South American climbing philodendrons. The result is a plant with more architectural leaf shape than either parent, and none of the fussiness.
Multi-lobed leaves in a deep, glossy green with a slightly sculpted feel. Grows in a compact, upright habit when young and stretches as it climbs. Reads clean and architectural.
Grows well with moss poles, mid-tone stoneware, and shelves where a well-behaved climber can do its thing.
