Naming note. A hybrid cultivar of unclear parentage, distinct from other 'crocodile' philodendrons in trade. Named for the pebbled, almost reptilian texture of its leaves.
A cultivated hybrid. No known wild ancestor. Developed for the combination of golden-green foliage and distinctive bumpy leaf surface.
Elongated, deeply veined leaves in a warm chartreuse to golden green. The surface has a raised, textured feel, almost bumpy, which is where the crocodile name comes from. New leaves emerge nearly yellow and deepen over weeks.
Grows well with moss poles, warm neutrals, and philodendron collectors branching out from the usual greens.
